Food insecurity is experienced by over 45, 000 Anne Arundel County citizens, of which 44% are children. AACPS is doing its part in helping provide food during difficult times. Thank you to the Manor View families who have already sent in some non-perishable food item donations with their children. If you are interested in making an online cash donation, one dollar equals eight pounds of food. 63610.thankyou4caring.org/harvest Thank you for helping Manor View take ACTION through Harvest for the Hungry.
With nearly half a marking period under our belts, we are confident that our students understand our school wide expectations for SOARing (Safe, Organized, Accountable, Respectful) behaviors. As a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports) School, we explicitly teach expected behaviors, provide students opportunities to correct unexpected behaviors, and celebrate positive behaviors.
For the first Marking Period, students' daily behavior observed from October 1st through November 9th (end of the first Marking Period), will be used to qualify them for a school-wide behavior celebration! This data is available for your review daily in the 'Eagle I' which should come home each day. Students must receive at least 80% 'SOAR' or 'WOW' days (meaning at least 23/29 days), in order to attend this school-wide celebration/incentive for the 1st Marking Period. Please reflect daily with your child about the Glows and Grows of their daily behavior when reviewing their 'Eagle I' and encourage your child to always display SOARing behavior! We look forward to celebrating positive behaviors with our students and hope to see your child at the celebration! Keep SOARing Manor View Eagles! |
